called "susmi", symbolizing human life. The local Bulgarian
ethnographic group "Kapantsi" covers the inhabitants of several
villages from Razgrad and Targovishte districts. According to the research of
our prominent ethnographers and anthropologists, the Kapantsi are considered to
be the oldest and purest Bulgarian population, the direct descendants of the
Proto-Bulgarians who settled on our lands.
